Spring cleaning with Arm & Hammer baking soda

I have always used Arm & Hammer baking soda for cooking, but I had rarely used it for cleaning. Until I received a free sample thanks to Smiley 360. I tried it for a little spring cleaning this past week and was blown away. First we made our own laundry detergent with arm & hammer baking soda and their baking soda wash along with a few other ingredients. But wow it did wonders at deodorizing my husband gym cloths and taking out stains! Next I used it with a mixture of soap and water to deodorize my couch of the cat smell. After a few coats you couldn't smell it anymore. I was impressed with all the different used baking soda had and how easy it is to clean with it. Here is what you will need to make 2 gallons of Laundry Detergent:
  • Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda
  • Arm And Hammer Baking Soda (the big 4lb box)
  • 20 Mule Team Borax
  • Oxi Clean 3lb
  • 3 or 4 bars Fels Naptha Laundry Soap
  • 2 containers Downy UnStopables or other scent boosters
  • garbage bag (or a garbage bag-lined 5 gallon bucket)
  • food processor or cheese grater
  • container to store your soap
  • measuring scoop

Grate the Fels Naptha Laundry Soap and then mix all ingredients together and stir. For regular sized laundry use 2 Tablespoons of detergent!
